2008 Woodfire Workshops

Frederick Pottery School is excited to offer weekend Woodfire Workshops in conjunction with John Thies of Monocacy Pottery.
Registered students will throw pots during their regular session using woodfire clay. Then, on the weekend of the woodfire - after their six week class session - they will load, fire and empty the kiln over a period of several days, listed below for each session.

Spring Session: Load: Sat. May 31st
Fire: Sun. June Ist

Summer II Session: Load: Sat. Sept. 13th
Fire: Sun. Sept. 14th

Mid-Autumn Session: Load: Sat. Oct. 4th
Fire: Sun. Oct. 5th

End-Autumn Session: Load: Sat. Nov. 8th
Fire: Sun. Nov. 9th

• Only students registered for regular class sessions may register for the woodfire workshop.
• The price of the class includes 4 open studio passes (sundays only)
and the use of FPS glazes.
